1. Controller

The controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is Felix Schulz, Aurora Strategy, 12 rue Friant, 75014 Paris, France. Email: felix.schulz@aurora-strategy.de. See also the imprint.

2. Summary

This website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and it has no user accounts or contact forms. Personal data is processed only in the three situations described below: hosting, the optional map, and when you email us.

3. Hosting and server log files

The website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA. When you visit the site, the hosting infrastructure automatically processes technical data: your IP address, date and time of the request, the requested page, the referrer URL, and browser and operating system information. This is necessary to deliver the site securely and reliably.

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and efficient operation of the website). Log data is retained by the host only as long as needed for this purpose.

Vercel may process data in the USA. Transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework adequacy decision and the standard contractual clauses contained in Vercel’s data processing addendum, which we have concluded with Vercel.

4. Interactive map (only after you click)

The Hydrogen Tracker shows project locations on a map. The map background is provided by CARTO (basemaps.cartocdn.com). To protect your privacy, the map is not loaded automatically. Only when you click “Load map” does your browser request map data directly from CARTO’s servers. In doing so, your IP address and technical browser information are transmitted to CARTO, and CARTO’s infrastructure may process them outside the EU/EEA.

Legal basis: your consent, Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR, given by clicking the button. You can decline by not loading the map: the project table and all other content work without it. Leaving or reloading the page resets your choice. Consent can be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future by leaving the page.

5. Contact by email

If you email us, we process your address and the content of your message to answer your enquiry. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR where the enquiry relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures, otherwise Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering enquiries). We delete the correspondence once the matter is resolved, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

This website does not store or read any information on your device (no cookies, local storage or similar), which is why no cookie banner is shown.

7. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). To exercise them, email felix.schulz@aurora-strategy.de.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU member state of your habitual residence, your place of work, or the place of the alleged infringement.

8. Changes

We will update this policy when the website or the legal requirements change. The current version is always available on this page.
